ADIOS

ADIOS stands for “Against Drugs in Our Schools”. This group is open to all Ontario Middle School students who support a Drug Free lifestyle and want to promote awareness. ADIOS provides an opportunity for students to have fun and build connections with others who are making good choices. There is also a strong emphasis on developing positive leadership skills.

We meet every Tuesday morning at 7:15am in the auditorium.

We will meet at 9:15 if there is a 2 hour delay. We may have occasional optional meetings after school and students may be asked to help at Coffee House, special events outside the school day, or with special projects during study hall/Warrior Time (with special permission).

Important Upcoming Dates:

First Meeting: Tuesday Sept. 13th

Coffee House: Oct. 7th, Nov. 4th, Jan. 6th, March 3rd, and May 5th

Drug Free Month “Kick Off”: Varsity Football Game Oct. 7th vs. Willard

Red Ribbon Week: Oct. 24-28th.

One of our primary goals is to promote the Drug Free message in our school and community. We are increasing our use of technology and social media to help us spread our message and promote our activities and events. You can “like” the Ontario Substance Abuse Prevention Program on Facebook or follow us on Instagram “@warriorsagainstdrugs”.

REQUIREMENTS FOR MEMBERSHIP: Students who do not abide by this policy will be dismissed from the organization for the remainder of the year.

1. NO USE of alcohol, tobacco, e-cigarettes/vapes or any other drug

2. Complete essay explaining why YOU should be a member

3. Regular meeting attendance and participation in school awareness activities

4. Appropriate school and community behavior, as you are representing this organization and leading by example.
