We began our dog search when we settled into our new home. We were looking for a breed that would be trainable, loveable, and tolerant of small children. We began looking at our “doodle” options and we came across this stunning breed of a Bernese mountain dog and full size Poodle…Bernedoodle. We started doing our research on the breed and reading the book “A Head to Tail Guide-Bernedoodles”. We instantly fell in love!! Like any breed they have their positives and negatives, but in our mind the positives outweighed any negatives.

We looked into breeders and we came across Angie. She was quick to respond to our request and was with us the whole way. Any questions we had were answered. She took time to figure out what things were most important when deciding on our new addition to the family. And we couldn’t be happier!!! Be honest with what things are most important to you and you will not be disappointed.

Bentley is 9 months old now and is one of the family. He loves being a part of whatever we do. He loves car rides, swimming, and snuggling. He is very playful and goofy. And most importantly, he is very gentle with our two year old daughter. We had to teach him his boundaries, but he learned quickly. Did I mention he is super smart!! He also sheds very minimally. Not dust bunnies in this house!!

I recommend puppy training as soon as you can. You will be amazed at how intelligent this breed is even at a very young age. Work through their stubbornness and you will have a wonderful dog and addition to the family. It takes consistency and attention. They are a breed that needs human interaction.
