We are currently seeking to fill the position of Worship Minister. We are an Independent Christian Church located just outside of Lexington in the town of Versailles. Versailles has been listed as one of the best small towns in Kentucky to raise a family. The area is beautiful and has a small town feel but with all the resources and benefits of living near a large city.

The Church is very stable and recently changed it's name to reflect our mission, which is to, "Move People on a Simple Journey Toward Jesus." Our vision or how we will do that is, "To Glorify God by Loving Jesus, Loving People and making Disciples who make Disciples." We have a strong emphasis on Discipleship through our group ministry, and feel that our Sunday morning should encourage discipleship but also reflect a strong emphasis on reaching the lost and unchurched. Our services are contemporary and band driven.

Journey Church Worship Minister

Job Description

· Organize, plan, and lead Sunday morning worship services through music alongside a volunteer worship band.

· Maintain an organized database and weekly plans on Planning Center Online.

· Schedule and coordinate Worship Volunteer teams through PCO.

· Create, or outsource, graphics packages for each sermon series and any other needed marketing material.

· Maintain and have basic knowledge of ProPresenter.

· Be familiar with band enhancement tools such as Abelton or Playback.

· Train and encourage new and existing volunteers on both worship and production teams.

· Maintain all website functionality of journeyky.church.

· Maintain weekly podcast via Soundcloud.

· Correspond and train volunteers for hosting and Impact statements each week.

· Create a new stage design at least three times per year.

· Assist in outside events that host events at Journey Church.

· Must have a heart and willingness to work with Student Ministry Worship teams on Sunday Nights, and incorporate them into Sunday Morning Worship as well.

· Plan and lead periodic “Worship Mornings”.

· Invest professionally and spiritually in yourself through a mentor or coach.
