WAYNE SELL ANNOUNCES 2015 WAS A SUCCESS

Wayne Sell is pleased to announce that 2015 was another successful year

PITTSBURGH, PA – January 11, 2016 – Wayne W. Sell Corporation (Wayne Sell), a leader in the transportation of flat, van and bulk commodities across the Midwest and North East, today announced that 2015 was another successful year for the company. In the beginning of 2015, Wayne Sell Corporation continued to add company drivers and owner operators to their team to meet the increasing demands of customers. The hauling of frac sand remained steady until the fall. The end of 2015 proved to be a bit of a transition period for the company, as the Natural Gas industry began to slow, due to various economic factors there was less work in the hauling of frac sand. Therefore, the company had to decide what its new strategy would be to remain profitable during this slow down in the extraction of natural gas in the region. The first step was to put more focus on the flatbed and van division of the company. Wayne Sell Corporation gained some new customers in this division including, JB Hunt, a partnership that the company is proud to have made. Wayne W. Sell Corporation also added several flatbed trailers to its fleet to aid in building the flatbed and van division as well. The company is also preparing itself for the summer of 2016 which promises to be a very busy time for the transportation of bulk commodities, including cement. Several of Wayne Sell’s customers are excited about the new projects they have coming up this summer, and look forward to Wayne W. Sell Corporation providing transportation services for these projects.

2015 brought other changes within the office of the company as well. A new driver recruiter was chosen. Rowdy Durci, who has worked as a mechanic and driver for Wayne W. Sell Corporation since 1981, was appointed the new driver recruiter this year. His knowledge brings a unique perspective to the position. He had thirty-three years of tractor trailer driving experience at Wayne W. Sell Corporation, before being appointed to this position. He has been around long enough to know how the company operates and what kind of person is needed to fill the open driving positions. Rowdy’s knowledge of the job and the company help him to better explain the open positions to perspective candidates, as well as instruct and orientate new drivers on information needed to perform the job. The office has also implemented a new imaging system within their existing software to keep track of all paperwork electronically. This allows for a smoother paperwork process, as well as the ability to recall information requested by customers at a much faster rate.

Wayne W. Sell Corporation’s diversity of services and ability to adapt in a changing economic climate are the reason they ended 2015 on a positive note, as well as the reason the company looks on to 2016 with optimism for the opportunities it will bring. It is important to note that 2015 marked Wayne W. Sell Corporation’s 60th year in business. According to company president John Sell, “We have always been guided by our founding principle of exceptional customer service, as the industry changes, and the needs of our customers change, we will adapt to provide the transportation services that are needed by our customer at any point in time.” The company looks forward to 2016 and all the changes, challenges and opportunities it has to offer.
