BERNINA: successful porcelain stoneware concept extended once again
One of the top ranges at Villeroy & Boch Tiles remains the stylish porcelain stoneware range BERNINA. BERNINA has now been a success on the market for more than 10 years. And for good reason: because the range has been redesigned and supplemented again and again, it has always perfectly met customer needs for colours, formats, finishes and decorations.
For 2014, BERNINA is presented in a new, contemporary large format for a further update of the range against the backdrop of rising market demand for larger formats: in future the square format 75 x 75 cm will be offered in all of the matt colours of the collection – in Crème, Beige, Grey, Anthracite, Brown and Greige. As a decorative addition, strip décors in format 30 x 50 cm are being introduced; these, too, are available in all of the colours of the collection. They enhance the design freedom of BERNINA further, making the range even more comprehensive and more flexible.
With the existing formats – 30 x 30 cm, 30 x 60 cm, 45 x 45 cm, 60 x 60 cm, 35 x 70 cm and 60 x 120 cm – the BERNINA range now has a total of seven format variants available for multi-faceted, individual laying patterns. In addition there are three narrow cut formats of 10 x 30 cm, 7.5 x 60 cm and 15 x 60 cm, along with two different mosaic mats bonded to a 30 x 30 cm lattice. As a result, BERNINA can be used for all areas of application, including the design of floor flush showers. Completing the range is a 30 x 120 cm stair tile in all colours that is particularly suitable for the design of generously proportioned, prestigious staircases.
The design of BERNINA is inspired by the look of Swiss Grison mica quartzite, and its appeal is decidedly natural. Harmonious nuances, a light natural play of colour, the fine sandy structure of the finishes with few veins and a discreet shimmer lend the range its special attractiveness. The tiles are optionally available in a matt or rough-polished finish.
The broad selection of colours and formats make BERNINA a very versatile range, one ideal for laying patterns on walls and floors in living rooms, hallways, kitchens and bathrooms. In addition, the exquisite vilbostone porcelain stoneware is suitable for applications in outdoor areas, such as on terraces and balconies, and in the commercial sector.
