2016 UPPER DUBLIN FALL LACROSSE LEAGUE

CODE OF CONDUCT

The purpose of this letter is to explain, in simple terms, the standards of conduct that are expected of all coaches, players and spectators participating in the 2016 Upper Dublin Fall Lacrosse League. The league is created to provide high school age boys in the community with the opportunity to play competitive fall lacrosse, engage in healthy rivalry with their opponents, and treat the people and facilities that support the league with respect and dignity. This means that all coaches, players, and spectators will be respectful of each other, and everyone associated with the league at all times.

There are specific rules associated with use of the SPARK (Upper Dublin Sports Park) – the “turf” fields where the league will operate. They are non-negotiable and must be honored:

Water only. No Gatorade or other sports drinks permitted.

No metal cleats. Molded plastic cleats only.

ALL Food, Gum, Tobacco products are forbidden on fields.

CLEAN UP YOUR SIDELINES AFTER EVERY GAME.

Additional comments about conduct:

Your actions can and will impact your team – Unsportsmanlike behavior will not be tolerated. Consequences for severe infractions (determined by the officials and league directors), may result in immediate suspension or expulsion from the league. If a coach or player is ejected from a game, he may not participate in his team’s next scheduled game. If a team has a coach or player ejected on more than one occasion, the league directors reserve the right to expel the coach, player and/or team from the league for the remainder of the season.

Each coach is required to acknowledge receipt of these rules and confirm he has issued them to his team. Please, do play hard and coach with fervor. However, remember to honor the game, it will ensure a good experience for all.
