Bronze Requirements
« All of the society’s committee members are registered volunteers
« Have a minimum of 10 members registered online
« Submit good quality photos/film footage of society activity & content for society mini-site on Beds SU website.
« Attended the Student Activities Committee Induction Day
« Submitted a feedback form regarding the Student Activities Committee Induction Day
« Submit an article for Loud (Beds SU Student Magazine)
« Held an committee election via the Beds SU website
« Attend Freshers’ Fayre and actively promote your society
« Dedicated Bedfordshire Green Hub promoter
Bronze Rewards
« Creation of a society logo by the Beds SU Communications and Marketing team
« Bronze Society award accredited on the Beds SU website and other union communications
« Bronze Society certificate awarded to your society and presentation at the end-of-year Student Appreciation Awards
Silver Requirements
« Achieve Bronze STARS Award
« Submit a monthly event planner to the Beds SU Student Activities Team
« Submit another article for Loud
« Evidence of Collaboration with another society or sports team e.g. joint events.
« An increase on the number of registered online members from the previous year (2013-14)
« Update the society’s Beds SU webpage at least once a term
« Shared the society’s social media links with the Beds SU Student Activities Team
« Arrange an mid-year meeting with a member of the Beds SU Student Activities Team
« Society get involved with a Bedfordshire Green Hub Campaign
Silver Rewards
« Silver Society award accredited on the Beds SU website and other union communications
« Silver Society certificate awarded to your society and presentation at the end-of-year Student Appreciation Awards
« 100 Free A4 colour print outs from the Beds SU general office
« Society’s posters put up around the university by the Beds SU street team

Gold Requirements

« Attend an open day and activate promote BedSocs and your society

« Run a RaG event in association with the Beds SU RaG officer or Student Activities Team
« Have an Official Society Photo taken by Beds SU official club photographers (Take That Photos)
« Arrange at least one event in one of the Students’ Unions venues (Pub in the Hub – Bedford, The Lounge and sub2 in Luton)
« Team up with the Bedfordshire Green Hub Co-ordinator to run a Green/Sustainable/Environmental event
« Attend at least one STARS training Session
Gold Rewards
« Gold Society award accredited on the Beds SU website and other union communications
« Gold Society certificate awarded for each of your society committee members and the society which will be presented at the end-of-year Student Appreciation Awards
« 250 Free A4 colour print outs from the Beds SU general office

Training Events
« Website Training – Get hands on training, in running your web page on the Beds SU website. [1 hour]
« Event Planning - A step-by-step run-through of the process of planning an event on campus. [1 hour]
« Publicity Training – Learn different ways to publicise events, societies, & campaigns, and which methods are effective. [1 hour]
« Charity FUNdraising / RaG – Discover what RaG is and how they can help promote your society. [1 hour]

How It’s Measured - Silver
Achieve Bronze STARS Award / We will have records of all who have achieved Bronze statusSubmit a monthly event planner to the Beds SU Student Activities Team / We will keep a STARS record for each society

Evidence of collaboration with another society or sports team e.g. joint events. / We will need evidence planning meetings have taken place, publications have been sent out & the event has taken place.
An increase on the number of registered online members from the previous year (2013-14) / We will look at present and past membership databases.
Update the society’s Beds SU webpage at least once a term / We will need evidence the page has changed – print screen before and after changes have been made.
Shared the society’s social media links with the Beds SU Student Activities Team / We will keep a record of all those who inform us of their social media pages.
Arrange an mid-year meeting with a member of the Beds SU Student Activities Team / We will keep record of who has arranged a meeting.
Society get involved with a Bedfordshire Green Hub Campaign / The BGH will keep a record of all those who have helped with campaigns so we will use this to verify.
How It’s Measured – Gold

Run a RaG event in association with the Beds SU RaG officer or Student Activities Team / We will speak to the RaG officer and ask for copies for publications for the event. SA will keep a record of those who ran an event with them if no RaG officer is in place.
Have an Official Society Photo taken by Beds SU official club photographers (Take That Photos) / We will have a record of all those who booked in for a society photo
Arrange at least one event in one of the Students’ Unions venues (Pub in the Hub – Bedford, The Lounge and sub2 in Luton) / We will speak to the commercial services team and ask for copies of publications for the event.
Team up with the Bedfordshire Green Hub Co-ordinator to run a Green/Sustainable/Environmental event / We will speak to the BGH team and ask for copies of publications for the event.
Attend at least one STARS training Session / We will have a register of all those who attend each training session
