Month Long Activities

OSUed Store Food Drive Discount Sales: At our weekly public sales in Feb., bring 1-2 food donation items for 10% off or 3+ items for 25% off your purchase at any one Feb. sale! We carry computers, computer accessories, furniture, vehicles, sporting goods, household items, bicycles and much more. Questions? Contact . Sales are located at the Property Services Warehouse.

Soup, Glorious Soup!: Join the Foreign Languages Department in Kidder 210 every Wed. during the Food Drive, 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. for soup, soup, soup!!!! Bring a monetary donation and/or packaged food to donate to Linn-Benton Food Share if you can! Automatic payroll donations are the best way to give to this important cause!

2nd Annual Prettiest Pet Contest: Is your pet the cutest? Enter the 2nd Annual Prettiest Pet contest to benefit the Food Drive. Submit a photo & $1 entry fee at 300 Kerr Admin Bldg; entries accepted 1/28 thru 3/1. Vote for your fave by donating from 2/4-3/1; the pet with the most donations wins. Email .

Chemistry/Physics Departments Food Drive Raffle: The Chemistry and Physics Department is Raffling off the following items to raise money for Food Drive February. Tickets are $1 each or 6 for $5. Purchase your tickets in 153 Gilbert Hall, M-F 8-5. Drawing will be held Feb. 28.

· A Night Under the Stars – a night of star gazing with Physics Instructor Jim Ketter

· Soup for a Month – one month of free soup delivered every Thursday to your home or office, compliments of SoupCycle

· Bathroom Basket – A Periodic Table of Elements Shower Curtain, Beach Towel and an Erlenmeyer Flask Shaped Soap

· A Weekend of Fun – 2x 3 Day General Admission passes to the Bi-Mart Willamette Country Music Festival, 2 Metal OSU Water Bottles, 2 Tubes of Sun Screen and 2 T-Shirts.

AMBC Food Drive Raffle: AMBC has put together 5 delightful baskets (Animal Lovers, Aroma & Beauty, Health & Beauty, Sweetheart, and Garden Baskets) and fitness equipment for the food drive raffle. Tickets are $1 each or $5 for 10 tickets available at AMBC 108 Hovland. Drawing will happen on Feb 28. All donations go to the Linn/Benton Food Share.

Papa’s Pizza Coupon Sales: Students in the Honors Advisory and Activities Committee are selling Papa's Pizza Coupon Flyers, worth over $100 in savings, including a free small pizza from Feb 9-24. Flyers are $15 each, with 100% of proceeds benefiting the Linn-Benton Food Share. Contact Karen Ast to purchase.

Tuna Fest!: The College of Forestry and the Student Clubs are collecting cans of tuna for the Food Drive. Our goal is 800 cans. Drop boxes are located in Student Services, 209 Peavy Hall, 280 Peavy Hall and 321 Richardson. Donate tuna today through March 1 and remember you "can" make a difference.

Quilt Raffle: Purchase your tickets for a chance to win one of 2 quilts. Tickets may be purchased now through March 1 at the College of Forestry Computer Helpdesk, Peavy 222. 1 ticket for $1 and 6 tickets for $5. Drawing to be held at 1pm, March 1st. The Grad School Gourmand Cookbook Sale: The Graduate School is offering a cookbook of compiled recipes for sale. Recipes include two award winning chili recipes, side dishes, main dishes, desserts & sweets, with vegetarian friendly recipes included. Cookbook is on sale for a suggested donation of $3-$5. Food Drive Book Sale: Used books, DVDs, and CDs available all week long at bargain prices! Art Exhibition: Montage, the student art group on campus, has put together an art exhibit in support of the Food Drive. Come by the West Gallery at Fairbanks Hall, Wed., Feb. 27- Fri., March 1, 8-5, to view and purchase. All work is priced $30 or less.

College of Forestry Bake Sale: Cookies, brownies, cakes, pies, breads, candies...? Who knows what will be available at this first of CoF Food Drive events, but one thing's for sure, deliciousness is guaranteed! All funds collected benefit Linn Benton Food Share. Wednesday, January 30

College of Forestry Soup Lunch: Come and enjoy a variety of soups, breads and baked goods provided by the FERM Department in support of this year’s food drive. Wednesday, January 30, 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm, Richardson 2nd Floor Knuckle. All proceeds will be donated to Linn Benton Food Share.

College of Vet Med Hot Dog Sale: From 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. in Magruder Hall Lobby, join us for delicious hot dogs of all kinds. $5 for a meal of 1 hot dog, chips, soda & cookie. $6 for a meal with 2 hot dogs, $2 for a single hot dog only. Veggie dogs available too!

Thursday, January 31

Chili feed: The Agricultural Science and Marine Science Business Center will be hosting a Chili Feed Jan. 31 from 11:30 am-1:30 p.m., in Hovland Hall, Room 9, in support of Linn Benton Food Share. Homemade chili and cornbread for a $2 donation per bowl, or all you can eat for $5, or a donation of the equivalent in canned food.

My Trip to Hanoi: On Jan. 31, 12 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. at Furman 303, Ken Winograd will share slides from his trip to Hanoi, Vietnam, through the Fulbright Specialist Program. Food is provided. Bring canned food/ cash donations for the Food Drive. Raffle tickets for prizes from local businesses will be available to buy ($1 each, or 6 for $5).

Tuesday, February 5

Chili Cook-Off and Hot Dog Lunch: Join Zoology and Biology on Tues. Feb. 5, 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. at Cordley 3029! Enjoy vegetarian & meat chili, and vote for your favorite in our chili cook-off. Hot Dog or Turkey Dog for $3. Chili & voting ballot for $3. All of the above $5.

OPAA Baked Potato Bar for Linn/Benton Food Share: Very popular in the past, OPAA is once again offering a full baked potato bar lunch – including dessert – for $5 as a fundraising effort to support Linn-Benton Food Share. Please join us on Tuesday, Feb. 5 in Kerr 306 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for good food and conversation, while also supporting a worthy local cause.

EMT Soup Lunch: Join us on Thurs., Feb. 7, 12- 1 p.m. in Ag Life Sciences 1019 for a fundraiser for the Linn Benton Food Share. Soups include Vegetarian Chili, Wild Rice & Mushroom, Thai Chicken Rice, and Borscht. Suggested donation $5 for all you can eat soup and bread/crackers.

Soup and salad: The Agricultural Sciences and Marine Sciences Business Center will be hosting a soup and salad event on Feb. 7, from 11:30 a.m. until the food runs out, in Hovland Hall, Room 9, in support of Linn Benton Food Share. Recreational Sports Valentine’s Silent Auction: On Feb. 12 at Dixon Rec. Center from 11 a.m.- 4 p.m., come bid on items for your sweetheart (or yourself!). Past auction items included: food items and goodies, gift baskets, gift certificates to local restaurants, flowers, artwork, crafts, jewelry, massages, cooking class, gourmet coffee, Beaver stuff and more!

LPI Soup and Bread Lunch: Join us Tues., Feb. 12, 12:00 p.m.- 1:00 p.m. in LPSC 402! Enjoy lunch prepared by LPI cooks - always healthy, always delicious! Lunch is $5, dessert is $1. View the Linus and Ava Helen Pauling display, including a letter to Dr. Pauling from Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Mardi Gras Feast: Celebrate Fat Tuesday in style on Feb. 12 from noon to 1 p.m. in the fourth floor lobby of Kerr Admin.
