Scenario / You are a volunteer at your local Health Centre and the team of health visitors that are attached to the centre have asked you to produce some information materials for parents and some training materials for new volunteers.
Task 1 / Examining the Influence of Relationships
Produce an information booklet for parents that compares the positive and negative influences of relationships, clearly showing how these influences affect an individual’s health and wellbeing.
Use examples of family, working, social and intimate relationships.
In your comparison, make sure that you fully explain the influence of at least two of these relationships, including changes that can occur within the relationship and how these changes can affect the health and wellbeing of the individuals. Examples of effects could include stress, self-esteem and anxiety.
You must use evidence of research from the media and/or summaries of health-related reports to support the points you make.

Task 2 / How social factors affect health choices
Following the success of your booklet, your manager would like you to produce a Microsoft® PowerPoint® presentation that can be used in a training session.
Produce a presentation, with speaker notes, that evaluates the link between social factors and the health and wellbeing of individuals. You should provide at least four examples.
Your presentation should then explain how the wider effects of social factors can affect health choices; for example, diet, smoking, alcohol consumption, etc.
Within your work you must give detailed examples to show your understanding of how social factors can have an effect on an individual’s physical, intellectual, emotional and social wellbeing.
Evidence you must produce for this task / Presentation slides, with speaker notes and an observation record.
