To create a Construction CU

In ArcCatalog, with ArcMap closed:

Create the Feature class for Construction Line

Line Feature (Point feature, Polygon feature)

Import Fields from WorkLocation

Click [ Finish ]

Right-click, select ArcFM Solution Object Converter – Convert to use Designer objects.

After conversion, Right-click feature and select Properties to verify below fields are present:

WORKFLOWSTATUS – Long Integer – Domain: MM Work Flow Status

WORKFUNCTION – Long Integer – Domain: MM Work Function

MEASUREDLENGTH – Double – Domain: Measured Length (line only)

NAME - Text

TYPE – Text

COMMENTS – Text


Right click newly created feature class and choose ArcFM Properties Manager:

Model Names Tab:

Assign MMDoNotPost – (under Designer Object Class Model Name)

Field Model Names Tab:

Verify fields WORKREQUESTID, WORKFLOWSTATUS , WORKLOCATIONID and WORKFUNCTION are assigned the correct Field Model Names under Model Name Domain – Designer Field Model Name.

Add to WMS Tables in Workflow Manager

Add the CU to MM_WMS_COMPATIBLE_UNIT_LIBRARY table

CODE of Back Span (Or whatever you want to show in the Add CU Text block).

If necessary, add new cost factor to MM_WMS_COST_FACTOR table

Add the CU Cost Factor to MM_WMS_CU_COST_FACTOR (10 is Not in Svc)

Add to CU

In ArcCatalog
Click on the database that the feature was created in.

Click on the heart icon (Create and Edit ArcFM Favorites)

Click on the Compatible Units tab

Right Click on the level that you want to create the new CU and click Create CU.

Select the target feature class of the one that was just created.

Rename and add correct Description and WMS Code (what is in the code field of MM_WMS_COMPATIBLE_UNIT_LIBRARY , in this case Back Span). ** This will be what shows in the Add CU Text block

On the Available WF tab, select the correct WF for the line (Click Change… button)

Click Create

Close

Click OK on the Favorites Manager window.

In ArcMap:

Open ArcMap, and the Stored Display that you wish to use (do not open WorkFlow Mgr)

Add the new Construction feature layer to Stored Display.

Move to appropriate position and modify symbology and labels, if desired.

Turn on Labels, if desired.

Save Stored Display

Now you are ready to use this Stored Display with Work Flow Manager

Open Work Flow Manager, open a Design and Create CU Template.
