Thrift Store Website Launched
“Florida Breast Cancer Foundation’s Online Donation Pickup Site Goes Live!”

Miami, FL (April 23, 2012) - We are excited to announce the launch the new website www.Pickupsforbreastcancer.org. What is it? It’s a site that offers community minded folks a simple way to donate clothing and other household items for a great cause—ending breast cancer! Pickupsforbreastcancer.org is the donation pickup site associated with the Florida Breast Cancer Foundation. The donations we pickup from all over South Florida provide valuable resources and funding to the FBCF for breast cancer research and advocacy programs. According to breastcancer.org about 1 in 8 U.S. women WILL develop invasive breast cancer over the course of her lifetime. Breast cancer is the second most commonly diagnosed cancer among American women, beaten only by skin cancer. Whether you or someone you know has or has had breast cancer, we hope you will consider donating!
How easy is this website to use? It's as simple as 1-2-3! You schedule your pick-up using the online form and submit the form; Gather your donation items into boxes and bags; Put all of your donation items right outside your front door, and donations are picked up by the thrift store truck drivers, who leave you with a tax receipt. If you are not home, the drivers simply hang it on your doorknob. If you are unsure of what items you can donate, the website also has a list of “Donation Guidelines.”
