Getting ready for the day

We see various locos on shed as they get ready for the day.

First trains

Badger leads a procession of locos as the first train is headed by newly rebuilt Sragi No. 1.

Morning trains

The locos in use are seen at various lineside locations.

The Garden Railway

Howard was operating on the garden railway. This loco has now left Statfold.

Traction engines

For the first time, a large and active contingent of steam road and farm vehicles descended on the SBR. Although there have been small numbers in the past, this was by far the most impressive display and was quite successful at distracting people from the railway at times especially when double-headed engines were moving the loaded low-loader. Some engines ventured down the field to Oak Tree Halt where they could be seen with the railway locomotives.

Afternoon trains

The afternoon trains were viewed around Oak Tree Halt and then back towards the main station.

Apologies for the somewhat minimalist commentary on some of the events above. Much of what you see on the DVD will be self-explanatory if you have been to Statfold Barn. However, I would be happy to try to answer any specific questions that you may have.
