RULES AND CONDITIONS OF ENTRY.

The show is confined to members of the Dales Pony Society, whose subscriptions are fully paid up at the time of entry and whose ponies are registered in the Dales Pony Society Stud Book, or in Sections B, C, or D of its appendix registers.

It is the responsibility of every exhibitor to ensure that all riders, drivers and handlers are fully paid up members of the Society, including competitors within classes 7 and 14. This is for insurance purposes.

Misrepresentations of any exhibit other than its true form or colour will cause it to be banned from the show, and may cause its registration to be erased from the Stud Book and the owners to be removed from the membership list.

The judges decision is final.

The organisers may split, amalgamate, cancel or rearrange classes as they think fit.

Trophies must be returned to the secretary on request.

All ponies must be shown clockwise round the ring.

Long whips are debarred. Riding canes or sticks only are allowed to be carried by handlers.

Any fall in a ridden class is elimination from that class.

No spurs allowed in any ridden classes.

Correctly secured current British Standard skull caps/riding hats must be worn at all times when mounted. A competitor whose hat comes off, or chin strap comes undone whilst competing must, on penalty of elimination replace it or fasten it before continuing. They may dismount without penalty to recover the hat or have it passed up from the ground, or may stop without penalty to fasten the strap.

An exhibitor must not knowingly exhibit a pony bred, sold, leased or produced by the judge or a member of his/her immediate family.

Breaches of the above, or any other Society rule will be reported by the stewards to the secretary, who will place them before the show organisers for a ruling.

Neither the Society or the show organiser, or show officials or servants will be responsible for anything that may happen from cause or circumstances whatever to exhibitors or their servants, or the public, or any spectator, or through or to any animal or vehicle exhibited at the show and it shall be a condition of entry that each exhibitor shall not hold the show organisers or the Society responsible and that he/she indemnify the show organisers and the Society against any legal proceedings arising from any such cause or circumstances.
