The bearer of this brochure is authorized by the Chattanooga Chapter of The Links, Incorporated to solicit ads, patrons, and contributions for the Beautillion X Souvenir Book.

All funds are used exclusively for service projects and college scholarships.

All funds for ads and patrons must be received by The Links organization no later than October 15, 2012 to be included in the program souvenir book.

About Beautillion X:

The Making of a Gentleman

Approximately twenty-five (25) 11th and 12th grade African American men will be presented to the Chattanooga community with their parents to an audience of approximately five hundred people in a formal dinner setting. Following are the award categories based on fund raising success:

Mr. Beautillion / $1500 1-Year Renewable Scholarship and $100 Savings Bond
1st Runner Up / $1000 Scholarship and $100 Savings Bond
2nd Runner Up / $750 Scholarship and $100 Savings Bond

All beaus meeting fundraising requirements will receive a $100 savings bond.

The goals of the Beautillion are as follows:

·  Identify and recognize minority junior and senior males in a manner that will increase their chances of individual success.

·  Provide an avenue by which the potential of the beaux can be maximized and represented to the Chattanooga community at large.

·  Conduct workshops and plan activities that will contribute to the overall social, educational, and character development of the beaux and belles.

·  Inspire the beaux to focus on career objectives and provide opportunities for the beaux to interact with African American professional males whose current careers mirror the interests expressed by the individual beau.

·  Encourage the beaux to commit to higher education by providing scholarship awards to the participants.

·  Work with the beaux in a fund raising effort that will contribute substantially to a larger scholarship fund and enhance the chapter’s opportunity to provide more services.

The Chattanooga Chapter of The Links, Incorporated

The Links, Incorporated is an international, not-for-profit corporation, established in 1946 with a membership of 12,000 professional women of color. It is one of the nation’s oldest and largest volunteer service organizations of extraordinary women who are committed to enriching, sustaining and ensuring the culture and economic survival of African Americans and other persons of African ancestry.


The members of The Links, Incorporated are influential decision makers and opinion leaders. The Links, Incorporated has attracted many distinguished women who are individual achievers and have made a difference in their communities and the world. They are business and civic leaders, role models, mentors, activists and volunteers who work towards a common vision by engaging like-minded organizations and individuals for partnership.


The outstanding programming of The Links, Incorporated has five facets which include National Trends and Services, The Arts, Services to Youth, International Trends and Services and Health and Human Services. The programs are implemented through strategies such as public information and education, economic development, and public policy campaigns (www.linksinc.org).
