The Mary Ann Manlove Fisk Fund for Historic Preservation and Education
INSTRUCTIONS: The application packet must be complete and arranged in the order listed below. ALL original transcripts, letters of recommendation and other required documents must be received by an MAMFF contact listed on this application, by March 3, 2017. The scholarship will be awarded at 11:30 on Friday, March 24, 2017 at the Fund’s annual scholarship luncheon at the Stagecoach Inn, 1005 Hill Street, Bastrop, TX 78602
Photographs will result in disqualification and should not be included. Applicant must have a 3.5 GPA or above. Scholarships are judged and awarded without regard to gender, race, color, religion, national origin or disability. The application package must be stapled in the top left hand corner not to exceed 15 pages. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

Statement of 1,000 words or less setting forth his/her career objectives (typed).
500 word essay with bibliography of at least 2 sources on “Judge Greenleaf Fisk inWilliamson County 1845-1861).’” Only one source can be from the internet. Wikipedia is accurate and produced by the family.
Original transcript of high school (must indicate class rank, size and test scores) Home schooled students include transcripts for grades 9 through 12.
Two letters of recommendation/ Letter should cover the applicant’s ability, work habits, integrity, character, potential and volunteer activities.
List of extra-curricular activities, honors received and scholastic achievements, (one side of 8 1/2'' x 11'' paper, typed).
Photocopy of United States citizenship: birth certificate, naturalization papers
Scholarship open to all students, regardless of financial need, meeting the 3.5 GPA
Self-addressed stamped postcard.

ONLY THE WINNER is notified of judge’s decisions following approval by the Scholarship Committee. At time of notification, the applicant notified of a pending scholarship award will be required to submit to the scholarship chairman their social security number, college attending and school program. Scholarship must be used within one year of date of award or it is
forfeited.
