The DIY Dominator: Contestant Application
This is an application to be contestant on THE DIY DOMINATOR, a new series for the DIY Network. On this competition style program three contestants from a specific trade compete in a series of timed and judged skill challenges for the chance to win a grand prize purse. We are looking for experienced men and women who the chops to do quality work fast, who love to compete, and love to win! Win or lose, each contestant is guaranteed a stipend for participation and a three day all expense paid trip to Denver for the event.
Contestants must be 18 years or older, and must sign an Appearance Release and Safety Agreement in order to participate on a nationally broadcast cable network television series.
To apply you will need to fill out the attached application and send in photos of yourself and your work and complete a short video, described below.
PHOTOS:
1. Two photos of yourself on and off the jobsite
2. Samples of your work including one or two finished projects and shots of them in progress
VIDEO: Please submit a brief one or two-minute video of yourself. Don’t worry about the quality of the footage, we just need to see a little of you in action. Tell us your name, your trade, and why you think you have what it takes to be the DIY Dominator in your field. Show us a brief example of your trade skills in whatever way you choose.
