January 2-13 Task 1: Planning Instruction and Assessment
Candidate has completed the Context for Learning.
Candidate and Supervisor have discuss the learning segment, and the candidate has
identified the class and established tentative dates when the learning segment will
occur.
Candidate and Supervisor discuss lesson plans for the learning segment.
Candidate has sent home permission forms for future video-recording.
Candidate reminded about making daily notes on effectiveness of their teaching.
Candidate has completed the TPA lesson plans and planning for the learning segment.
Check with candidate to make sure he/she understands all the planning prompts.
(Note, the supervisor and/or cooperating teacher cannot offer advice or suggestions on
how to answer the prompts).
Candidate has completed Planning Commentary.
January 16-February 3 Task 2: Instructing and Engaging Students in Learning
Candidate has collected all video-recording permission forms from the students, and
made arrangements for video equipment.
Candidate has prepared lesson plans, assessment criteria and materials for the learning
segment
Candidate has taught and recorded the 3-5 lessons for the learning segment.
Candidate has prepared the edited version of the video clip.
Candidate is still making daily notes of their teaching.
Check with candidate to make sure he/she understands all the instructional prompts.

Candidate has responded to Instructional Commentary.
Candidate has total responsibility of the classroom.
February 6- 24 Task 3: Assessing Student Learning
Candidate has identified which assessment completed during the learning segment
will be analyzed.
Candidate has selected three student work samples (high, medium and low).
From those three, candidate has chosen two (one low) students’ work to analyze and
document feedback on their work.
Candidate has provided copies of the assessment and evaluation criteria to the
students.
Check with candidate to make sure he/she understands all the assessment commentary
prompts. (Note, the supervisor and/or cooperating teacher cannot offer advice or
suggestions on how to answer the prompts).
Candidate has completed Assessment Commentary.
Candidate is still making daily notes of their teaching.
Candidate is starting to accumulate and review all materials, artifacts, lesson plans and
commentaries for submission.
February 27- March 9 Task 4: Analyzing Teaching
Candidate still has total responsibility of the classroom.
Candidate has chosen video segments for submission.
Video segment is completed and uploaded.
Check and make sure the candidate understands the analyzing commentary prompt.
(Note, the supervisor and/or cooperating teacher cannot offer advice or suggestions
on how to answer the prompts).
Candidate has completed Analyzing Commentary.
Candidate has all materials complete and ready to submit to the Pearson Platform and
a hard copy of all materials and documents to submit to Eastern on March 19th.
