Adelphi's Pre-College Summer Intensive Programs

Adelphi University is proud to offer Pre-College programs in Business, Dance, Emergency Management, Gaming, Jazz, Movie Media, Musical Theatre, Nursing, Robotics, Science and Social Work.

Through the pre-college programs high school students will become prepared for college-level training and will gain hands on experience. With programs between one and three weeks in length, students may earn up to 3 credits and choose to live on or off campus.

5 Week Summer College for High School Students

High school students may join Adelphi University during their second summer session. Students may earn college credits by registering for one approved college course at a discounted rate of $400 per course. The traditional undergraduate rate per credit is $860 which equals $2,580 for a 3-credit course.

Courses such as Biology, Natural Sciences, Physics, Math, Art, English, History, Sociology, Psychology, and more, are open for enrollment.

Future Leader Camp - Norwich University

FLC is open to rising high school sophomores, juniors, seniors and accepted applicants to Norwich University. Academic success is a must and participants are required to possess a 2.5 GPA or above. The Junior Executive Institute (JEI) is a FREE summer program that invites rising high school juniors and seniors from African-American, Latino, and American Indian backgrounds who are or might be interested in the business field to experience a week at IU's Kelley School of Business.

This exciting pre-college experience, supported by the Kelley Office of Diversity Initiatives, Kelley Undergraduate Admissions, as well as corporate sponsors, gives students the opportunity to participate in workshops taught by the highly rated IU Kelley faculty. Throughout the week students will implement the knowledge they have gained to design a case project to present to a panel of judges. Participants will also be given the chance to experience college life through living in dorms and connecting with current IU students and faculty.

Pratt Institute Pre-College Summer

Each summer, approximately 400 high school students seize the opportunity to experience college-level study in Pratt Institute's Pre-College program. The schedule consists of two courses that are college credit-bearing classes, and two non-credit, pass/fail courses designed to supplement the core curriculum, as well as lectures and cultural and social events. This is an intensive full-time program; classes meet Monday-Friday, and extracurricular activities are scheduled evenings and weekends. Upon successful program completion, students earn a total of four elective credits toward their college transcript.

Raritan Bay Medical Center - Healthcare Connection

If you are a rising senior and seriously interested in a career in the health care field, you can apply to the Healthcare Connection program. Six to ten students are selected to participate in this program and there is no cost.

The four day program is at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge, and Perth Amboy.
