This communication further explains the details of the People First job site and system downtime associated with the July 2010 People First system upgrade.
On July 2, 5:01 p.m., applicants will no longer have access to the People First job site.All job requisitions must have a web closing date no later than 5 p.m. on this date.For applicants applying for jobs that close July 2, the People First staffing specialist will work through the July Fourth weekend to finalize the hiring manager applicant package, and will provide the package to the hiring manger no later than Tuesday, July 6, at 8 a.m.
Hiring managers will have access to the People First hiring center through July 9, 2010, at 5 p.m. EST.For hiring managers who would like their applicant packages finalized prior to the July Fourth weekend, job requisitions must have a job closing date of no later than Wednesday, June 30.
All attempts should be made to close requisitions in the hiring manager interface (Staffing) prior to 5:00 p.m. July 9, 2010. The current requisitions will not be available in the new Talent Management system. Effective July 20, agencies will have to click on the “Historical Staffing Data” link in the My Quick Links section on the Home Page to access requisitions created in the old system.
As mentioned in an earlier communication, People First System Downtime to Implement July 2010 Release, dated March 31, 2010, we reduced the system downtime required to implement the enhancements for the July 2010 People First System release to approximately one work week.Those dates remain the same, and the planned downtime periods are:
· System Brought Off-Line: July 9, 2010, at 5 p.m. EST
· Target Date to Bring System Back On-Line: July 20, 2010, at 8 a.m. EST
DMS will use the downtime to implement the upgrade of the core software (SAP and Peopleclick Authoria), as well as implement the many enhancements included in the release.
