7 th grade: We will be reading these novels: The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton, Out of the Dust by Karen Hesse, And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie, and The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien.
8 th grade: We’ll be reading The Killer Angels by Michael Shaara, To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee, The Giver by Lois Lowry, and Night by Elie Wisiel
7th & 8th Grades: Due to overuse of these books in the past years we have very few of these novels. Any school copies will not be allowed to go home and students may have to share in class. If you can, please purchase a copy for your child. You can find these novels at libraries, in thrift stores, bookstores, or new & used at Amazon.com
Please do not read these books listed above during the summer. I have uploaded a summer suggested reading list on our school website.
