Generic Learning Outcomes for Undergraduate Student Summer Research
On completion of the summer research project students will:
1) have knowledge of the key literature related to their research project.
2) be able to formulate a research hypothesis or where more appropirate an explicit research question.
3) understand the scientific methods, techniques and skills applicable to their project, and their limitations.
4) have experience of generating primary data or systematically evaluating secondary data sources.
5) have knowledge of the type of the data generated and the most appropriate methods to analyze it.
6) be able to identify limitations of the project conducted and areas for future work.
7) be able to professionally communicate a summary of their research findings, put in context of current evidence and answer questions that are related directly to the project.
