STILLWATER NAMED IN TOP 10 BEST ANTIQUING TOWNS IN THE U.S.

Stillwater, MN – Where you find history, you’re also likely to find historic treasures. A river town located just outside the Twin Cities and known as The Birthplace of Minnesota has just been named by the experts at Fodor’s Travel as one of the Top 10 Best Antiquing Towns in the U.S.

The Main Street of downtown Stillwater is home to four antique dealer malls each with multiple floors of goods from antiques, to vintage, industrial, and mid-century modern. Find furniture, home décor, collectables, jewelry, art, coins, retro clothing, glassware and more. In addition, there are a few specialty shops such as Let There be Light showcasing repair and sales of hard-to-find beautiful old light fixtures or Black Letter Books with shelves of out-of-print or rare publications.

Stillwater has always had a reputation for antiques, but with the recent resurgence in home and garden TV shows highlighting vintage inspired interior décor, many are seeking out unique pieces for their projects. Visitors can enjoy browsing thousands of items at shops along Main Street which is on the national historic register of places and stay in a piece of history as well with eight restored 1800’s mansion B&Bs or two historic inns downtown.
