Sponsorship Manager – Infoline + IFRS Foundation events

Reporting to: Divisional Manager – Tax & Accounting Division

Overview of Position:

Sale of the full range of high value sponsorship & exhibition opportunities/propositions at conferences and training products in the areas of

● Finance ● Tax & Accounting ● Risk/audit ● Compliance ● Other

You will identify the main players in each market, make initial contact, pitch and close.

your product (sponsorship & exhibition opportunities) range in price between £5-£35,000.

Job Summary:

You will:

• Report to the Divisional Manager and liaise with him and the team of event producers to identify appropriate conferences, target markets and generate leads.

• Build the divisional database by continuously:

• retaining & improving existing relationships with major clients (reducing attrition)

• identifying new clients and establishing new sales relationships

• establishing event sales pipelines

• Work as a "consultant" - to better understand our clients' business objectives so as to capture a larger part of their annual marketing mix

• Work to pre-determined targets for events and for the division as a whole

• Draft all sales contracts and proposals

• Chase debt on contracts that already exist

• Generate weekly, monthly and quarterly reports as required, including:

• revenue per event

• revenue per period

Working Conditions:

· Salary & Commission will depend on applicant experience

· Holiday entitlement is 20 days per annum, rising to a maximum of 25 days.

· You will work with a team of 10+ event producers producing multiple events per month

· You will have complete account management responsibility for your sales (including
at-event management)

Performance Standards:

· Will be measured against achievement of set budgets and profitability

· You will also need to demonstrate the ability to influence high (board and partner) level decision makers

· As you will be working closely with the producers, you will need to demonstrate good:

· self-management

· motivational skills

· prioritisation ability

· 10-20% of the role is face-to-face, the rest is office and telephone focused
