1. Dental Chair Specifications:

· Thin flexible back rest, measuring 1.25” thick on the seamless upholstery

· Headrest, standard dual articulating with gliding cushion and knob design. Non-articulating Military headrest version.

· 2-position armrests, cantilevered hinge design articulates towards toe of chair. Must have the ability to remove armrests.

· Lift range 13.75”-31.5” (Note: measurements are made from the floor to seat pocket.) Low

point: 14.75” when dual mounting.

· Chair shall swivels 60° (30° each side of center)

· Chair back actuator disconnect required to reduces risk of injury or damage to equipment by stopping

back downward movement when obstruction is detected.

5. Chair-mounted Delivery System (traditional style radius):

· Integrated-handpiece control block shall be capable of operating up to four active handpiece

Positions, constructed of plated lead-free brass (per section 14.17 of the Safe Drinking

Water Act). Each hand-piece position shall have individual drive needle valve air and water

adjustments. Removable water cartridge valves shall allow servicing of block. A sliding

lock mechanism shall secure the hand-piece tubing to the control block without tools, water-flow system shall eliminate dead-end to avoid harboring stagnant water.

· Left/Right convertible without the use of tools shall be made available.

· Data Control System (DCS) shall be used to control all the electrical components (fiber optics,

heated syringe, touch pad, camera, electric micro-motors, and dental light). The DCS shall allows

plug and play add-ons.

· Chair lockout stop feature when foot control is activated shall prevents accidental

movement of chair when hand-piece or instrument is in use.

· Silicone handpiece tubing shall contains anti-microbial and quick-disconnects

secured to the control block.

· A 2.0 liter, quick-connect water bottle shall be attached with an interior pick-up tube to reduce cross-contamination.

· System flush toggle shall have a flow-through design to eliminate stagnant water and

flushing of tubing simultaneously.

· All interior water lines used throughout the delivery system shall contain anti-microbial

to protect against microbial colonization on interior and exterior surfaces.

7. Chair-mounted Radius-Style Dental Light Specifications:

· Three axis barycentric positioning. Entire light head shall rotate a full 540 degrees (1

½ turns) of horizontal rotation. Optics Head shall rotate 120° total (15° up, 105° down),

Optics Head shall rotate 80° (±40° from vertical).

· Three intensity settings (15,000/25,000/30,000lux)(1,394/2,323/2,787fc) shall be supplied.

· Cure-safe composite setting (25,000lux(2,323fc)/yellow): provides a “yellow” light shall be supplied.

· Color Temperature/Color Rendering Index: 5,000K/~90 CRI shall be supplied.

· Ability/ease of positioning: Rotation axis about the rigid arm to flex arm interface shall be supplied:

315° of travel. Vertical travel shall be achieved via the parallel link system in the flex arm. This travel is to

be 27.9 inches (71.1cm).

· Flexible, fracture resistant handles shall be included

8. 8’ Sterilization Center Specifications:

ICC Sterilization Console. It is intended to be a guide, but not an all-inclusive list.

1.0 CORE MATERIAL

1.1 Countertop to be 0.236 in. thick, plywood with phenolic backer and ½” thick acrylic resin,. . with threaded inserts for installation and service.

1.2 Cabinet shell and related component parts shall be 5/8" thick, 45# industrial grade particleboard.

1.3 End caps shall be 3/4" thick, 45# industrial grade particleboard.

1.4 Upper module doors shall be 5/8” thick, 45# industrial grade particleboard. Door windows, consisting of 3/8” thick glass and a Santoprene bezel shall be included.

1.5 Module back panels must have cut-outs in the lower section for access to facility utilities.

1.6 Particleboard shall be 100% post-consumer grade recycled material and is California Air Resources Board (CARB) Phase I compliant. All plywood is CARB Phase II compliant. (Title 17, California Code of Regulations 93120-93120.12)

2.0 SURFACE AND EDGE TREATMENT

2.1 All heavy-wear parts, such as the door and drawer fronts are to be covered with high pressure V32 laminate (HPDL). The countertop shall be a solid surface, for all middle modules, receiving module SWS0 and clean modules CTP4 and CSD3.

2.2 The bottom side of countertops shall be finished with a phenolic backer for sealed countertop resistant to environmental effects of high humidity and moisture.

2.3 Receiving modules and clean modules shall have a waterproof, slide-out countertop constructed of ABS plastic.

2.4 All cabinet shell component parts shall be covered with low-pressure melamine. Color shall be Surf or equal

2.4 All particleboard edges shall be finished with rigid PVC (polyvinyl chloride) edge banding 1mm banding on cabinet component parts, and 3mm thick banding on all door and drawer edges.

2.5 End caps shall have radius edges and finished with a high-pressure V32 plastic laminate (HPDL).

3.0 DRAWER AND DOOR CONSTRUCTION

3.1 Two styles of drawers shall be included in specific modules:

A. Drawers shall be constructed using the Blum MetaboxÔ drawer system: the slide mechanism is integrated into the metal drawer side. The slides shall be tested to a 75 lb. dynamic load and painted with a baked-on epoxy.

B. Compartmentalized waterproof drawer inserts are to be provided. Drawer inserts shall be provided deep storage sections or shallow wrapping sections and are to be constructed of ABS plastic.

3.3 Back panels, as well as the bottom panel of interior drawers are particleboard with white polyester or melamine laminated finish on both sides.

3.4 Drawer fronts and doors shall be particleboard with matching high-pressure V32 plastic laminate (HPDL) on both sides.

3.5 Doors and drawers have 3mm (1/8") thick edge banding with 3mm (1/8") radius on all edges.

3.6 The knob for doors and drawers shall be aluminum and nickel plated with a clear powder coat finish.

3.6 Door hinges are Blum Insert hinges. Constructed of nickel-plated steel, to be concealed, clipped-on, and three-way adjustable.

3.7 All front opening single and double door storage modules shall have a 170, free-swing, overlay hinge on the front (décor) side. The exceptions are the doors on sink modules which will have a 125 clip-on, free-swing or self-closing, overlay or twin hinge based on the application.

4.0 SUBBASE CONSTRUCTION

4.1 Subbase shall be made from 14 and 16-gauge cold rolled steel and painted surf 6 color on all sides with polyester powder coat. Subbase parts clip on to the leveling feet shall be included.

4.2 There shall be four large adjustable feet mounted to the bottom of each module for leveling the module.

4.3 The console modules shall be attached to flooring with large steel clips that are anchored with lag bolts or cement anchor bolts.

4.4 The foot-activation shall be operated by a binary/four-way valve in the subbase area.

5.0 AGENCY LISTINGS

5.1 Standard catalog cabinets are UL and C-UL listed.

6.0 ELECTRICAL

6.1 Countertop (task) lighting shall be included:

A. Middle modules shall use a T8, 4100°K color temperature lamp, with a Color Rendering Index (CRI) of 75. Task lights are to be UL listed and CSA certified. Task lights shall include a prismatic acrylic lens diffuses light to reduce risk of accidental breakage.

B. Receiving and clean modules shall use a PL9 fluorescent fixture. Colored light covers shall be included to identify receiving (red) and clean (blue) areas.

7.0 OTHER SPECIFICATIONS

7.1 Module connectors shall be barrel nut and screw type, nickel-plated steel.

7.2 Length tolerance shall be +/-1/4".

7.3 Base modules shall include cutout to allow for the routing of wires and cables internal to the consoles.

7.4 Instrument racks shall not be provided for the middle sink modules and MWMD middle module. For all other middle modules, instrument racks shall be provided if the module is located on either end of the midsection run. The instrument racks shall be injection molded polymer, heat resistant and liquid proof. They shall be designed to hold up to 30 pounds and have easy to remove and relocation pin and keyhole attachment system.

7.5 Upper middle modules shall be equipped with one adjustable wood shelf per module. Wood shelves shall be ¾” thick, surfaced with low pressure melamine, edge shall be banded on all four edges with 1 mm PVC edge banding. Clean and receiving upper modules shall have 12 instrument racks (refer to 7.4).

7.6 Shall include a foot-activation operated by a binary/four‑way valve in the subbase area.

Middle sink modules shall include:

7.6.1 Middle sink modules shall include an under-mount style stainless steel sink and basket strainer. Sink shall measure 16 5/8” x 13 3/8” with a depth that ranges from 5 ½” – 7”. Sink shall be top-mounted.

7.6.2 Shall include a faucet with an extendable chrome finished design. Shall have a two-way button with adjustable spray. Shall include a flush-mount foot-operated faucet control: built into the subbase to provide a tempered water function. Temperature and flow adjusted at faucet.

7.6.3 Countertop-mounted HVE shall be easily accessible for the removal of liquids around the sterilization area.

7.6.4 A battery operated soap dispenser shall be included. It shall operate hands free and be activated by an infrared sensor.

7.6.5 Glove dispenser(s) shall mount to the upper right door above the sink and shall accept boxes with a maximum dimension of 6 ¼” – 6 12/” wide and 10 ½” – 10 ¾” long.

7.6.6 A battery operated clock timer shall be provided. It shall have a liquid crystal display. It shall have two programmable countdown timers.

7.6.7 The waste container drawer shall contain a 9-gallon waste basket and shall be knee-activated for hands free access. Spring activated latches shall release the drawer and allow it to slide open. The latches shall re-secure the drawer when closed.

7.6.8 Shall include a towel dispenser that mounts in upper dispenser and holds C- or Z-fold towels.

7.7 Shall contain a knee-activated drawer to hold a 3 gallon sharp container.

7.8 Shall include ABS plastic slide‑out countertops to provide moisture proof area for sterilizers and cleaners. Dimensions shall be 25” W x 27” D x 18.75” H (CLS5 and CSS4), or x 15.5” H (SLDW), or x 15.5”H (SWD2) or x 25.75” H (SSD3). The countertop shall pull out on 18” heavy duty euro slides and be supported by 11 gauge steel brackets. Support shall be a 125# load in the center of the shelf. The shelves shall have grooves molded into the top to capture and control spills.

7.9 Shall include a slide‑out shelf for a small sterilizer below the countertop. Space dimensions are 23.5” W x 27” D x 8” H. Below this slide-out tray a small vented storage module shall be included for collection of moisture from various sterilizers.
