SOFTWARE TROUBLE SHOOTING HINTS

(read before switching on your equipment)

ü Always switch REM equipment on before booting your computer.

ü Always run a Hi-Pro test before launching NOAH. For easy access set up a short-cut key on your desk top. The following should be selected for each REM system:

Aurical / Tick box use Hi-Pro via Aurical / Internal
Unity / Un-tick box use Hi-Pro via Aurical / External

Click on TEST and check that the ‘Self Test Status’ is OK.

ü If you are in REM modules and you get unusual responses check that the correct ear transducer is selected.

ü Try and be patient and if the computer is thinking (curser turns into hour glass), refrain from clicking on any icons until it has finished.

ü If you have installed new hearing aid manufacturer software and there is no communication between NOAH and the software you may need to carry out a ‘Hi-pro update’. The easiest way to do this is to find STARKEY in your programs option and click on Hi-Pro WUpdate. Follow on screen instructions and then close down and reboot.

ü Try and minimize the number of hearing aid manufacturer’s software modules in NOAH. Delete any unused modules as they will be slowing your system down.

Aurical Users Only

ü If you encounter a FATAL error or a RED HAND, close down your modules, switch off your computer and switch off your REM system with the on/off switch and at the wall. After 5 seconds switch your equipment back on and re-boot.
