Softball Rules for PE

1. Three outs per half inning

2. No base stealing

3. No leading off; players may leave the base after the ball is hit.

4. No bunting

5. When a team is batting, players need to stay back as far as possible to avoid injury; exceptions are the player batting and the player on deck.

6. No walks; balls and called strikes will not be called. The only way a player can strike out is by swinging on a third strike.

7. Foul balls will count as strikes on the 1st and 2nd strike. A player may get as many foul balls as needed until action occurs.

8. All other normal softball rules such as base interference, running out of the base line, force plays, tag plays, etc. will be observed and called upon.

9. Utilize safety with teammates and opponents when playing and in all situations of danger and common sense.
