Soarian Remote Access Using VMware View Client Software

Step 1

To install the VMware View Client software, in your browser, go to Https://65.51.232.104.

If you get to a security screen, choose “Continue to this website (not recommended)”. You will be sent to this next page.

Step 2

From this page, you will be prompted to install the VMware View Client for the current operating system you are using. Choose the default “View Client” and click the download button. If prompted, right click on the notification bar and choose “Download file”. Choose “Run” from the next prompt.

Once the client has downloaded to you computer, choose “Run” at the prompt to initiate the installation of the VMware View Client.

Step 3

At the first screen that appears, choose “Next”, and “Next” again.

When you get to the next box, choose “I accept the terms in the license agreement” and then click “Next”.

At the next window that appears, no changes are needed so choose “Next” to continue the installation.

Step 4

In the next window that appears you will be asked to input the Connection Server that you will be using, type 65.51.232.104 in the box provided that says “Default View Connection Server” and choose next.

In the next window that appears, no changes are needed so leave the default option checked and click “Next” to continue setup.

At the next screen, once again, leave the default options and choose “Next” to continue.

At the next window, no changes need to be made so choose “Install” to begin installing the client on your computer. When the install completes, choose “Finish” and you will then be prompted to restart your computer. So choose “Yes” to the prompt to restart your computer.


How to Connect to the Palisades Network

Step 1

Once the VMware View Client has been installed, double click on the new “VMware View Client” icon that is located on your desktop.

At the window that appears, choose “Connect”.

At the next window that appears, you will be prompted for your Palisades network username, Palisades network password, and Palisades domain name.

Note: Your Palisades network username and password is separate than your Soarian username and password and must be at least 6 characters in length, contain an uppercase character, a lower case character, and a number.

****** Enter your Palisades network username (Palisades Doctor Number) and Palisades network password (initially Passw0rd, capital P and zero, and then you will be prompted to change it) and make sure that the domain reflects “PMC_SNA”. ******

Click on “Login” to continue.

Step 2

From the next window that appears, highlight PMC-VM-PC and choose “Connect” to connect to your desktop. At this time, you will be connected to a VMware View Desktop that will allow you to work directly on Palisades network.

Accessing Soarian

Once you have connected to the Windows Desktop via the VMware View Client, double click on the “Soarian Production Logon” icon located on the PC desktop.
