PROPOSED LIAISON WITH NORTHSHORE SCHOOL DISTRICT:
Delegation to the District President of the Authority to Execute on Behalf of the Board of Trustees of Community College District Number Seven an Agreement with the Northshore School District to Provide Certain College Credit Classes to Northshore high School Students
Resolution No. 29
WHEREAS, the concept of offering college-level courses to Northshore high school students using Northshore teacher functioning under College curricular supervision has been discussed and encouraged by the Board of Trustees; and
WHEREAS, this same concept has been adjudged by the Board of Trustees to be potentially beneficial to the College, the Northshore School District and to the target group of students; and
WHEREAS, under RCW 28B.10.528 the Board of Trustees is authorized to delegate, by resolution, to the President or his designee(s) any of the powers and duties vested in or imposed upon the Board by law;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Trustees of Washington Community College District Number Seven that, effective immediately, authority shall be delegated to the District President to execute an agreement with the Northshore School District pertaining to the development and offering of a program of college-level courses to Northshore high school students;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that all actions taken pursuant to this delegation of authority will be exercised in the name of the Board of Trustees of Community College District Number Seven.
