Classroom Behavior

Assignment book/planner

1. you must have your planner with you at all times

2. you must mark down your homework for the subjects you have in each classroom

3. you will mark down your behavior and missing assignments in your planner

Academic Honesty

Taking tests for others, copying homework, cheating on a test, plagiarizing written work from the internet, or any other type of academic dishonesty does not assist a student in his/her academic career. It is result in an “F” for the work and a meeting with parents to discuss the issue. There will be no opportunity to make up or retake an assignment or test as a result of academic dishonesty.

Tardies

1. When you are late to school or class, you will need to make up the work you missed for homework

2. Ten tardies in a quarter will lead to a meeting with the teacher, principal and pastor

Absences and Make-up Work

In an inquiry-based learning environment, attendance is extremely important. Please do your best to be in school every day. There will be times when you are too sick to come to school. A classmate will keep an assignment list for you. You will have a day to make work up for each day absent. It is the student’s responsibility to turn absent work in on time.

Grading

Students will be graded on the following types of assignments:

-homework

-quizzes

-tests

-projects

-science journals

-notes

-other assignments

I do not accept late work after the Friday of the week the assignment was due. Each day the assignment is late that week, I will deduct 10%. After Friday, that assignment is considered missing without redemption.

Grades will be posted on Gradelink at minimum on the 1st and 15th of each month.

We will be using Dropbox and Google docs both in computers and in the classrooms.
