SGM (R) Jeffrey Skinner

Sergeant Major (R) Jeffrey Skinner is a native of Philadelphia, Penn. He graduated from Olney High School in June of 1979. He attended Basic Combat Training at Ft. McClellan, Ala., and Advanced Individual Training as a Wheeled Vehicle Operator at Ft. Dix, N.J. Sergeant Major Skinner has held a variety of leadership positions including US Army Transportation School Sergeant Major, Military Surface Deployment and Distribution Command Operations Center Sergeant Major, Port Sergeant Major, Deputy Commandant, First Sergeant, Transportation Division NCOIC, Platoon Sergeant, Drill Sergeant and Squad Leader.
His assignments include US Army Transportation Center School, MSDDC Operation Center Ft Eustis, 837th Port Sergeant Major, Pusan, Korea; Deputy Commandant, Ft. Eustis Non-Commissioned Officers Academy; First Sergeant 331st Transportation Company (Modular Causeway), Ft. Eustis Va.; 20th Area Support Group Trans Division NCOIC, Taegu, Korea; Support Platoon Sergeant 3/66 Armor Battalion 2nd Armor Division, Ft. Hood, Texas; Platoon Sergeant, 702nd Main Support Bn 2nd Infantry Division, Korea; Drill Sergeant E Co 2/10 Infantry Regiment; Drill Sergeant and Advanced Individual Training Instructor, 58th Transportation Battalion, Ft. Leonard Wood, Mo.; Squad Leader 2nd Heavy Equipment Transportation (HET) Company, Friedberg, Germany; and Squad Leader, 363rd Transportation Company, Ft. Sergeant Major Skinner is a graduate of the United States Army Sergeants Major Academy, United States Army First Sergeants Course, United States Army Drill Sergeants School, ANCOC, BNCOC, PLDC and Air Assault School. Sergeant Major Skinner received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Magna Cum Laude) from Touro University.
Sergeant Major (R) Skinner is also granted and assigned the distinction of Distinguished Member of the Transportation Corps and is currently serving as the Honorary Sergeant Major of the Transportation Corps Regiment. He is a recipient of both the Ancient and Honorable Order of St. Christopher from the Transportation Corps Regimental Association, as well as the Honorable Order of St Barbra from the Air Defense/ Artillery Corps Regiment. He is also an honorary member of the prestigious Audie Murphy Club.
His awards and decorations include: Legion of Merit, Meritorious Service Medal (6 OLC), Army Commendation Medal (7 OLC), Army Achievement Medal (8 OLC), Army Good Conduct Award (10th Award), National Defense Service Medal (2), Korea Defense Service Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal, Non Commissioned Officers Professional Development Ribbon (4), Army Service Ribbon, Over Seas Service Ribbon (5), Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Drill Sergeant Identification Badge, Air Assault Badge and the Expert Drivers Badge.
SGM Skinner retired with over 31 years of active federal service in the US Army and currently works as a Department of the Army Civilian as the Chief of the Army Drivers Standardization Office, US Army Transportation Regiment, Ft Lee, Va. He is married to Pamela and has two daughters Jessica and Jasmine.
