Senior Year: What To Expect!
You’ve finally made it! You are about to embark on your final year of high school. Congratulations Class of 2018! Below you will find a list of things that you will need to start preparing for over the summer as far as getting some of these things done and preparing for things that will cost you various amounts of money your senior year. We don’t want you to go in unprepared and not ready for what is to come. So, read over this and make sure you keep up with the information and deadlines.

(Required to Graduate) / $150 if you pay by December 2017
$175 if you pay after January 1st 2018 / Due December 2017 if you want a discounted price. Can be paid throughout 2nd semester at higher price.
Senior Portraits / Bronze Package Included in Senior Dues
You are responsible for paying the difference at the time of your appointment for other packages if you so choose
**See Legacy Studios information on School web site for more information.** / This should be taken care of during the summer! Don’t forget to get these done. These are the pictures that go into the yearbook. You will take formal, Cap & Gown and Casual pictures. We have the tux, drapes and Caps/Gowns for these pictures. Boys need to wear a clean white t-shirt under their casual outfit and girls need to wear shirt and bra that can be pulled off the shoulder for the drape shot.
Yearbook (optional) / Books may be purchased online at Jostensyearbooks.com from August through April. They may also be purchased here at school (cash or check only and the school stops taking checks in early April) / $70.00 – August **

** Jostens usually runs a “Back to School Special” in August where if you purchase personalization ($8.00) you get 4 icons free.
Senior Ad in Yearbook (optional) / Senior Recognition Ads may be purchased online at Jostensyearbooks.com from August through February or at school during the same times.
Deadline to purchase a Senior Ad is February 14, 2018
For in school ads – every attempt to return photos and copy to you will be made however we cannot guarantee that photos will not be lost or damaged. / August – October 31

Prom (optional) / Tickets: $75-$120 depending on when you purchase them
**Don’t forget to account for your other prom expenses: food, limos, dresses/tuxes, flowers, etc.** / You can buy tickets up until the week prior to prom. Please keep in mind the sooner you buy them the cheaper they will be. Listen for announcements and watch Remind for reminders about prices and when they go up.
Graduation Announcements (optional) / Varies based on packages you purchase. / Listen for announcements and watch for Remind to know what days Balfour will be up at the school during all lunches to take orders for these.
Senior Shirts/Hoodies (optional) / $15-$35 per item (depending on what you purchase).
The cost of this could be more for you if you choose to buy more than one item. / Several orders will be made throughout the school year. Listen for announcements and watch Remind for deadline information.
Senior Yard Sign (optional) / $25 / Several orders will be made throughout 2nd semester. Listen for announcements and watch Remind for deadline information.
Obligations (anything you still owe money for…textbooks, dues, etc.)
*Must be cleared to obtain cap and gown in May* / Varies by Student
(Some of you won’t have any to worry about!) / Take care of these as soon as you are aware you have them. Don’t jeopardize graduation by not paying.
