SEMINAR PROPOSAL: CENTER FOR INTEGRATIVE STUDIES

Seminars offered through CIS should extend beyond the boundaries of any one academic discipline. Besides integrating diverse disciplinary approaches, these seminars emphasize student participation and may experiment with forms of presentation and modes of learning. Typically CIS seminars are offered twice, in consecutive years, and are limited to 16-19 students, sophomore and above. CIS seminars should not be considered a means for part-time faculty to increase the size of their teaching appointments.
