SELECTION CRITERIA

FINANCE OFFICER

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

Essential:

1 A basic admiration, respect and fondness for people with intellectual disability and a belief in the importance of the mission of L’Arche.

2 An ability to, or experience working in a not for profit organisation

3 Demonstrated experience and knowledge of MYOB Accounts software package

4 An ability to prepare budgets, manage cash flow and prepare all the day to day financial data including payroll, reconciling and analysing financial reports

5 Ability to manage assets including vehicles and prepare and keep an asset register

6 Knowledge of the key areas associated with acquittals, compliance with government departments, and insurance bodies

7 Demonstrated capacity working within a team of professionals

Desirable:

§ Ability to manage and organise to work independently and yet seek guidance from Community Leader.

§ Ability to receive feedback and adjust work procedures accordingly.

§ Ability to prioritise and meet expected goals, outcomes and deadlines of L’Arche Brisbane.
