Dear Parents,
Once again, the summer fete is nearly upon us. This year we are joining forces with the village and celebrating the Queen’s Birthday Bash with a number of village organisations on Sunday 12th June. We are theming it around all things royal, so come along in your best regalia and join in some traditional fete stalls and games. There will be a fancy dress competition for the children with prizes for the best costumes. Come along and enjoy the live music, BBQ, jousting and many traditional fete stalls – Be careful to avoid the village stocks though!
If you feel able to spare even half an hour for a stall, or to help set up or clear down, please come and see a member of the School Association, or keep an eye out for a helpers list to be posted shortly before the event – thank you.
School Non Uniform Day
Friday 27th May
Our pre-fete non uniform day will be on Friday 27th May. Each child is asked to bring in fete donations in return for coming into school in their chosen clothes. Ideal donations would be:
Wine, beer, chocolates, raffle prizes and tombola prizes, homemade preserves, toys and games etc... We are not able to accept anything that is electrical or out of date. We also need plants and homemade cakes but we ask that these items are not donated at this time due to the half term break; please bring them when we come back.
Enclosed with this letter should be a small quantity of raffle tickets. Please sell these to family, friends, neighbours and colleagues. We have plenty of spares should you need more. Stubs, money and any unsold tickets must be returned to school by Tuesday 7th June.
This week also sees the return of the Brize Norton Silent Auction. This will run for the 2 weeks up to the fete. As always, there are some fantastic items available. Get ready to place your bid and bag a bargain!! Details will follow soon.
On the reverse of this letter is a fete poster. Please pop this in your car window or wherever you think passers by might see and read it. Thanks in advance for your help. Please remember that all money raised goes to the school and directly benefits our children.
