Act One

1.Start keeping the diary that either Romeo or Juliet might have kept from they time they met (Scene 5). Keep adding entries as the play progresses. When you are completed you should have six entries. For each entry you need to note to which act and scene you are responding. This will be due at the end of the reading of the play. Each entry should be at least 50 words.

Scene 2 Assignments:

  1. Write the delayed letter to Romeo from Friar Laurence as Friar Laurence might have written in. Consider the information Friar Laurence would find of most important to relay to Romeo.
  1. Make a list of 6 things Romeo will miss after he takes his life.

Scene 5 Assignment:

1.Who are the people in the play who contributed in some way to the deaths of Romeo and Juliet? Make a list of them and explain how they were involved. Write your opinions of the actions of each person. You should list at least 5 people with explanations.
