IV. Leadership Succession Planning
This is critical to the future success of the SIG.
a. Have you identified future leaders within your SIG? Yes No
If so, who?
If not, what is your plan to ensure future SIG leaders? Our anticipation was that the newsletter editor, Carol Dalby, would be groomed for this role. However, she is stepping down from that role due to a change in her career. We will be working to develop a succession plan through a leadership call (to be scheduled) and the Congress SIG meeting.
b. What additional help from the Nominating Committee and/or staff do you require to help in this effort?
It would be helpful if a member of the nominating committee could come to the SIG meeting and perhaps speak for a few minutes.

X. PUBLISHED PLANNING MEETING MINUTES (year from last Congress): YES NO
PUBLISHED PLANNING MEETING AGENDA (year prior to last Congress): YES NO
XI. LIST STRENGTHS OF SIG:
We have a very large membership (1473 members; a growth of 36% from the prior year) and engaged board members. Rose continues to keep our web presence and trying to engage members from that perspective. Liz is very active in engaging the leadership board about the educational needs of the CTN SIG.
XII. LIST OPPORTUNITIES FOR IMPROVEMENT WITHIN SIG:
(State how you are addressing these.)
Our membership is passive. Efforts to reach out via e-mail, the newsletter and the CTN SIG networking session at Congress have not resulted in more active engagement. We completed a tailored survey and had an 8% response rate. Each member of the leadership team is challenged by having full-time work responsibilities and our available times don’t often sync up making it difficult to plan projects, etc.
