Residence Hall Orientation Schedule

10am-2pm- All residents report to Perlman Student Center to Check in to dorms. Bookstore, Business office, Financial Aid office & Student Success offices will be open in the Miller Administration Building. Bills must be paid in full or set up on a payment plan, and you must have your Panola College ID and College parking permit before keys will be issued. ID’s and parking permits will be issued in the Student Center. You must have a valid state issued ID to receive Panola ID.

1 pm-4pm - Fitness Center will be open.

5:30-7:00pm- Dinner in the dining hall. All Residents must have College ID to eat. Coupons for parents to eat free will be in your move in packet.

7:00pm- Mandatory - Res Life Meeting in the Q.M. Martin Auditorium (ALL RESIDENTS)

2:00pm- Sharp Hall 1st floor meeting in the Community Room in the Library

2:30pm- Sharp Hall 2nd floor meeting in the Community Room in the Library

3:00pm- O’Neal Hall (west side, A-H) meeting in the Community Room in the Library

3:30pm- O’Neal Hall (east side, I-P) meeting in the Community Room in the Library

4:00pm- Buchanan Hall meeting in the Community Room in the Library

4:30pm- Phillips Hall meeting in the Community Room in the Library

5:00pm- Hughes Hall meeting in the Community Room in the Library

4:00pm-8:00pm- Fitness Center will be open- must have valid student ID to enter (optional)

5:30-6:30pm- Dinner in dining hall

*Returning Residents: This completes the housing orientation for all RETURNING residents.

*First time residents: Panola College is required by the State of Texas to require first time - full time students enroll in a College Success Class (COLS 0101). The class is designed to improve retention and the students adaptation to college life. It is an one hour class that will meet twice a week for the first 8 weeks of the semester. Please contact contact Jessica Yates at 903-693-2011 as soon as possible in order to get the class added to their schedule. You will not be able to check into the dorms without meeting this state requirement!
