Premises:
One premise leads to the next. Each premise is explicitly stated.
Problem:
The problem or conflict is genuine and of importance. The problem is explicitly stated.
Writing:
The problem statement is clearly written with few mechanical errors. Extraneous information is excluded.

Method
Introduction:
Connection between the purpose and the research design is described.
Participants:
The population and sample are adequately described.
The sample is sufficient to answer the research question/purpose. It is clear how this sample will be sufficient to answer the research question/purpose
Instruments:
Measures are adequately described.
Measures will collect data that will, in fact, allow the questions to be answered.
Procedure:
The procedure described in enough detail that it is clear what will be done and when.
Data Analysis Plan:
The plan will enable the researcher to answer the research questions.
The plan uses appropriate analysis techniques for the type of data collected and the nature of the research questions.
