Research Associate, Antibody technology.


We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join us as a Research Associate in our Therapeutic research team. You will work with the research team in supporting our efforts in this exciting new area of cancer immunotherapy. Under minimal supervision, the successful candidate will be expected to perform experiments, organize and analyze results, and communicate and present findings in team meetings. You will also be asked to perform other duties as required. This role will be a hands-on resource reporting to a Scientist.

Resquiements:

· The Research Associate level requires at least 2 years of related experience in a lab environment with a Master’s Degree or at least 4 years of related experience in a lab environment with a Bachelor’s Degree

· Antibody and protein optimization laboratory research experience is required, particularly in molecular biology and mammalian recombinant protein expression.

· Knowledge and experience in biology/biochemistry laboratory procedures and assays, including recombinant DNA techniques, antibody humanization, antibody engineering, antibody expression/purification, and characterization by ELISA, IP/WB, FACS etc.

· Desire and ability to interact as a cross-functional team member to assist in downstream in vitro and in vivo assays.

· Strong organizational skills and record keeping.

· Self-motivated and willing to accept temporary responsibilities outside of initial job description.

· Comfortable in a fast-paced small company environment and able to adjust workload based upon changing priorities.

Previous working experience in pharmaceutical antibody platform .

Research Associate, Cancer Immunotherapy

· Experience in viral and non-viral methods of gene transfer

· Ability to perform multi-parameter flow cytometric analyses

· Experience in molecular and cellular biology techniques, including PCR, qPCR, cloning and western blot.

· Knowledge of immunology, immuno-oncology are desirable.

Scientist, Antibody Engineering

We are seeking an experienced scientist to join the company to support our antibody-based therapeutic discovery efforts. The successful candidate will lead a team and work on Antibody Hybridoma and antibody engineering for development of biologics in multiple clinical indications. The candidate should be familiar with advanced molecular biology, biochemistry and cell biology techniques. The candidate should demonstrate excellent collaborative skills for working in a cross-discipline, team based environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Working in the lab and leading antibody engineering efforts for humanization, affinity maturation, and bi-specific engineering and for developability improvements employing advanced molecular biology, biochemistry and cell biology techniques

2. Evaluating antibody-antigen interactions by experimental techniques

(protein and cell-based binding assays; structural studies).

3. Designing antibody generation and screening strategies and delivering

therapeutic candidates on multiple projects in collaboration.

4. Documenting and interpreting experimental data and presenting at the

company and cross-functional project team meetings.

5. Contributing to preparation of scientific publications and patent applications.

Qualifications:

· PhD; MS in Immunology, Cell/Molecular Biology, or related field with 5+ years (PhD) or 8+ years (MS) of post graduate experience in experience in academia or biotech/pharma industry.

· Demonstrate strong experience with molecular design and engineering of proteins.

· Good understanding of antibody structure/function relationships, protein modeling, and various biotherapeutic formats.

· Possess technical expertise and hands-on experience in the areas of antibody humanization, affinity maturation and/or biophysical properties optimization.

· Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a highly collaborative environment.

Scientist, Tumor immunology

We are seeking an experienced scientist to join the company to support our antibody-based therapeutic discovery efforts. The successful candidate will work on antibody based anticancer or autoimmune disease. The candidate should be familiar with advanced molecular biology, biochemistry and cell biology techniques. The candidate should demonstrate excellent collaborative skills for working in a cross-discipline, be able to distill complex ideas, and be dedicated to translating basic translational research insights into impactful human therapies.

Qualification:

Ph.D. or MD/Ph.D in immunology, cell biology, pharmacology, or related field with 3+ years' experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry or in an academic setting.

Required:

· A PhD or PhD/MD and post-doctoral training in molecular immunology, molecular oncology or cancer immunology

· A minimum of 2-5 years of research experience with demonstrated academic/industry achievement as evidenced by publications in high impact journals.

· Experience with standard immunological techniques including in vitro study of human/primate immune cell assays, multicolor flow cytometry, cell separation methods, ELISA, multiplex bead assays, T cell proliferation assays and/or ELISpots.

· Additional experience in antibody-based immunotherapies, molecular biology and signal transduction pathways are encouraged.

· Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a highly collaborative environment.

Preferred:

Scientist/Sr. Scientist, Cancer/Vascular Immunotherapy

We are seeking a talented and highly motivated Scientist who will assume the role of Scientist for our antibody-based therapeutics platform. You will join a team dedicated to the identification and validation of novel targets for cancer/angiogenesis therapy. These investigations combine modern combination therapy and hypothesis-driven target/pathway approaches all focused on the goal of demonstrating strong association between target biology and cancer disease progression in cancer patients.

Key Responsibilities:

· Design and execute novel target validation plans. Generate, analysis and interpret experimental results.

· Develop and maintain appropriate in vitro assays; in vivo/ex vivo analyses of vascular and tumor cells.

· Planning and execution of in vivo tumor/angiogenesis studies for the generation, propagation and analysis of tumor models carrying on bioluminescence reporter.

· Conduct independent research to identify and validate novel cancer targets utilizing a variety of cell biology, biochemical and genetic approaches.

· Contribute substantially to team research strategies

Qualifications:

· PhD degree in Cancer or Vascular Biology, or related field with 3+ years (PhD) experience in tumor angiogenesis or cancer immunology.

· Record of scientific achievement

· Proficient in assay development for target validation that could include Western blot, FACS, ELISAs, cell proliferation, transfection and cloning of stable cell lines, ADCC and Immunohistochemistry is required.

· Comprehensive knowledge of the basics of cellular immunology and vascular biology, as it applies to cancer is required.

· Able to effectively present scientific data and concepts to internal or external standards is required.

· Effective communication and teamwork skills. Work in a fast paced and multi-disciplinary environment.
