Adoption Application for Golden View Farm Rabbit

Please answer the following questions before deciding on your potential rabbit. We try to ensure the best possible match between animal and adopter. Remember that this is a lifetime commitment, and rabbits live an average of 8-10 years. Upon adoption, you will sign a contract and pay an adoption fee. All adult rabbits come spayed or neutered. If not yet mature, the surgery is required to be done as soon as they are mature. Failure to spay/neuter the animals will result in the animal(s) being reclaimed by the Rescue. The adoption fee goes directly Golden View Farm Rabbits to help pay for the upkeep and medical care, and is non refundable.

Please Note:

* You are required to provide a photo (digital or hard copy) of your set up, (IE cage, room bunny will be in). You may email (or regular mail) it to us with your application.

* The adopter must be within driving distance to Fountain Valley/Huntington Beach. We do not ship rabbits.

* You must provide valid identification with your current address.

* Rabbits may not be declawed.

* Indoor rabbits live an average of 8-10 years. We are looking for those special adopters who will make every effort possible to keep their companion for the entire life of the rabbit despite life style changes (divorce, moving, etc).

* Rabbits may not be adopted out as gifts, or for Easter. All members of a household should visit the prospective rabbit and apply for adoption.

* Rabbits will not be placed in a home until all other rabbits there are neutered or spayed.

* We do NOT adopt rabbits to children. Applicants must be 18 years of age and older.

The rabbits in the care of the Rescue are housed in foster homes. We rely on the kindness of volunteers to care for and socialize their foster rabbits. Volunteers get to know their foster rabbits quite well, and are able to determine the best situation for the rabbit to go to, therefore we respect their input in whether or not their rabbit is a suitable match for your household.

The adoption fee for a single rabbit is $75 and $145 for a bonded pair.
