Kingfisher FFA Wins State FFA Freshman Ag-Science Quiz Bowl Career Development Event

STILLWATER, Okla. — Members of the Kingfisher FFA Chapter won first-place honors in the State FFA Freshman Agriscience Quiz Bowl Career Development Event during the 2017 Oklahoma FFA Career Development Events at Oklahoma State University April 29.

Team members include Max Hartman, Jentry Squires, Elizabeth Purdue, Harrison Themer and Victoria Gerken. The Kingfisher agricultural education instructors and FFA advisers are Lori Burns and Ryan Burns.

In this event, teams of four FFA members compete to answer questions from the Introduction to Agriscience curriculum and the FFA Student Handbook.

The OSU College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources hosted the contest. The Freshman Agriscience Quiz Bowl Career Development Event is sponsored by La Quinta Inn & Suites and Hofschulte Show Pigs.

FFA is an integral part of the Agricultural Education division in the Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology Education system.
