PUBLIC CONSULTATION FOR PROPOSED DOG CONTROL ORDERS

Further to the introduction of its first suite of Dog Control Orders on 1st January 2016, Mid and East Antrim Borough Council will be consulting with the public in relation to the following proposed Dog Control Orders;

Consultation will run between 29th February 2016 and 4th April 2016 and comments are welcome throughout the consultation period. Completed forms can be left at reception of any of the Ballymena, Carrickfergus or Larne offices. Alternatively, comments can be sent by email to: .

1. Dogs on Leads (Carnfunnock Country Park Mid and East Antrim Borough Council) Order 2016

This proposed order will require that dogs be kept on a lead of no more than 1.8 metres (6 feet) in length, at suggested times, whilst in designated areas of Carnfunnock Country Park.

2. Dogs Exclusion (Children’s Play Parks Mid and East Antrim Borough Council) Order 2016

This proposed order sets out to exclude dogs from Children’s Play Parks.

3. Dogs on Leads (People’s Park Mid and East Antrim Borough Council) Order 2016

This proposed order will require that dogs be kept on a lead of no more than 1.8 metres (6 feet) in length whilst in designated areas of People’s Park, Ballymena.

4. Dogs Exclusion (People’s Park Mid and East Antrim Borough Council) Order 2016

This proposed order sets out to exclude dogs from designated areas of People’s Park, Ballymena.

5. Dogs on Leads (Larne Town Park Mid and East Antrim Borough Council) Order 2016

This proposed order will require that dogs be kept on a lead of no more than 1.8 metres (6 feet) in length whilst in designated areas of Town Park, Larne.

6. Dogs on Leads (Marine Gardens Mid and East Antrim Borough Council) Order 2016

The proposed order will require that dogs be kept on a lead of no more than 1.8 metres (6 feet) in length whilst in designated areas of Marine Gardens, Carrickfergus.
