Emergency Services / Students must successfully pass the following three courses in order to sit for the End-of-Pathway Assessment:

Duration of Exam: / 1 hour and 45 minutes for Computer Adaptive Test (CAT)

Exam Cut-Score: / Determined by the percentage of correct answers given in critical categories of exam.
Test Ordering Information: / Students must currently hold a CPR credential and pass a cognitive and psychomotor (performance) exam to receive an Emergency Medical Responder certification.
The cognitive (written) portion of the NREMT exam is computer-based exam that is given at authorized Pearson VUE testing center locations. To schedule an exam, create an account and complete an application on the NREMT website at the following link:

•  Once the application has been completed and application fees have been paid,
•  Student will receive an Authorization to Test (ATT) once eligible to take the exam.
•  Once student receives ATT, instructor/student can then schedule test with Pearson VUE. Additional scheduling details are provided in the ATT letter. •  Instructor should consult with their state EMS Office about the format and logistics of completing a state approved Emergency Medical Responder psychomotor exam.
