Listed below are specific safety rules that must be followed in order to ensure your safety and that of our employees.

These rules must be reviewed prior to the start of work, followed by your signature at the bottom, acknowledging your understanding of these rules and your commitment to comply.

“Driver” is defined as follows: Any person who will be operating a vehicle, including loading or unloading of a vehicle/trailer at the job site, without performing any additional work. (This does not include delivery services such as UPS or FEDEX.)

Drivers may be asked to leave the facilities or project sites for not abiding by the safety rules.

SPECIFIC SAFETY RULES FOR DRIVERS

•  The following personal protective equipment will be required prior to entering the facility or job site:

a. Hard Hat
b. Hearing Protection (if necessary)
c. Impact Resistant Safety Glasses with side shields
d. Leather work boots
e. Outer Layer of Fire Resistant Clothing, as required by Kinder Morgan (KM)

•  Trucks will not be allowed to stage on the shoulder of any road without proper traffic control measures in place. Contractor employees working in or next to a public road or otherwise exposed to vehicular traffic shall be instructed to wear Class II warning vests marked with or made of reflective or highly visible material.

•  Normal Work Attire: Sleeved shirts and long pants are required at all times. Sleeveless shirts, tank top type shirts, shorts or shirtless attire are not allowed.

•  No open flames or smoking is permitted except in designated areas. Cellular telephones will not be permitted in a hazardous atmosphere.

•  Alcohol, illegal drugs, firearms, “strike anywhere” matches and plastic butane lighters are prohibited.

•  Vehicles departing the facility or job site are subject to search.

•  The KM representative will explain the emergency alarm (when applicable) to you upon completion of this orientation. In the event you hear an emergency alarm, proceed to the designated assembly area and wait for instructions. Should you detect a hazardous situation during the course of your visit, alert a KM representative immediately and exit the facility or job site by taking an evacuation route to the Safe Area / Meeting location if applicable.

•  If you suffer any injury, no matter how slight, promptly inform a KM representative immediately.

•  Unauthorized personnel are not allowed on KM facilities to include project sites or in vehicles while under contract to KM without prior written approval from a KM representative. (i.e. additional family members or friends).

•  All posted speed limits and traffic regulating signs shall be observed. Persons shall only drive on designated roads or right of ways. Reckless driving and horseplay are prohibited.

•  All Contractor personnel shall have the proper commercial driver’s licenses to operate equipment on public roadways.

I acknowledge that I received the above Driver Safety Orientation, I understand, and agree to comply with all Driver Safety requirements and any Site-specific rules while on Kinder Morgan property or Job Site.
