Position: Student Recruiter - Dallas/Fort Worth

BACKGROUND

NPower (www.npower.org) is a nonprofit with a mission to mobilize the tech community and provide individuals, nonprofits and schools opportunities to build tech skills and achieve their potential. We build brighter futures for underserved young adults and veterans through free technology and professional skills training (Technology Service Corps “TSC”) - and we mobilize tech community volunteers to help schools and nonprofits use technology better and to develop the next generation of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) talent.

POSITION SUMMARY

The purpose of this position is to oversee the recruitment and admission services for perspective, current, and program graduates of NPower’s IT training program in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. The Student Recruiter will work closely with the Program Manager and Regional Director in all functional areas within NPower including Recruiting, Classroom Instruction, Career Development and Student Placement. This will include developing relationships with potential recruitment partners, military organizations, interviewing and selecting veterans and students and evaluating the effectiveness of the recruitment process. Must be flexible to travel throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth and central Texas areas in support of job duties.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Recruitment/ Relationship & Business Development Activities:

• Responsible for the NPower recruitment effort in North and Central Texas.

• Measure and monitor the success of the recruitment strategy, ensuring that targets are consistently met and exceeded.

• Analyze and define the search strategy and advise on candidate profiles.

• Communicate with prospective students, via appointment, telephone, email and program correspondence materials.

• Monitor each program’s recruitment process and manage the candidate pipeline.

• Respond to and follow up on recruiting leads, messages, emails and other correspondences.

• Schedule and interview candidates for admission into NPower programs.

• Collect and file necessary paperwork and documentation from the candidates.

• Assist with the development of enrollment marketing publications and communications including letters, brochures, website postings, electronic mail and other mediums.

• Present programs information to perspective students, work solution counselors, local colleges, military bases and organizations, career fairs and off-site campus locations.

• Foster and develop relationships with Veteran Service Organizations (VSO), third party feeder organizations and other applicable areas.

• Must be consistent and accurate, documenting in real time, all perspective students, contacts, activities and outcomes into Salesforce Case Management System.

• Use Salesforce and Alumni data to develop compelling region-specific marketing materials for internal and external audiences.

• Develop and maintain full-cycle recruitment funnel for perspective, current and Alumni students

• Responsible for conducting surveys and mid-program recruitment briefings to current students for the purpose of educating them on upcoming programs.

• Must have firm understanding of military benefits, processes and documentation needed for veterans to take advantage of educational programming and training.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Human Resources, Information Technology, Organizational Management or related fields

• At least three years job recruitment/placement experience and career or business development

• At least 1-3 years of experience with military recruitment, Veteran’s educational benefits, and transition programs.

· Ability to work as a team player with virtual linkages.

· Strong knowledge of local IT employers, hiring trends, and in-demand skillsets.

· Client-driven and committed to timely, responsive, and exceptional service to employers and candidates.

· Experience in the technology industry (preferred).

· Prior military service (preferred).
