The Pioneer Trails Regional Planning Commission - the RPC of Johnson, Lafayette,
Pettis and Saline Counties of Missouri and administrative contractor for Region F Solid Waste District - is seeking an experienced, energetic and innovative individual for their Solid Waste (Environmental Program) Planner. The Pioneer Trails and Region F Solid Waste District, situated immediately east of the Kansas City metropolitan area, is a key partner in the Missouri
Environmental Solid Waste Reduction Framework, a Lead RPC in the Missouri, an Economic Development District and recently undertook administration of Region F Solid Waste Management District adding Morgan County to our serve area. Environmental programs include local & regional solid waste grant programs, ‘Green’ education and awareness initiatives. Local government technical support, grant administration and a variety of other related efforts.
Candidates should have experience in a number of environmental programs and
should have considerable knowledge of the organization and statutory obligations of local
governments. Individual must demonstrate strong interpersonal, communication,
marketing, financial skills and be a team player, with experience working with local governments a plus. A Bachelor’s Degree with major emphasis in the related field is preferred. Salary range is $25,000 - $27,500 DOQ, with benefits negotiable. Residency within the five counties region is preferred.
