Culver’s Lawncare & Landscape Nursery

Beginning in 1998, Culver’s Lawn & Landscaping has many different fields which they employ staff. Culver’s has teams in fertilization, mowing, snow removal, estimators, landscape designers & install crews for planting, sodding, seeding, pavers, lighting & retaining walls for residential & commercial properties. Culver’s also has a retail and garden center where they sell plants and other gardening products. Culver’s grow their own annuals beginning in January very year. http://www.culverslandscape.com

Iowa Department of Natural Resources—Field Services and Environmental Protection Office

The Field Office One serves northeast Iowa. They serve as a point of contact for questions about activities and problems related to environmental protection for this portion of the state. The field office staff spends much of their time working with permitted facilities evaluating compliance and providing technical assistance. The office employs Environmental Specialists who concentrate on various environmental areas. In addition to the Environmental Specialist, there are over 75 different job classifications within the DNR, including attorney, carpenter, engineer, accountant, IT specialist and administrative assistant. www.iowadnr.gov

Linn County Conservation Department

Linn County Conservation is responsible for providing outdoor recreation and education opportunities in Linn County. The Marion Times is a weekly newspaper serving Marion. The Times also publishes the Marion Today, Robins and Hiawatha community newspapers, free papers which are mailed out to all residents of these cities. 2. Telecommunication Technician- performs installation and maintenance for all voice, data and video work in commercial office buildings, complexes, hospitals, schools and industrial facilities. Program details: 3-year Systematic Program includes 4,800 hours of paid On-The-Job Training and 480 hours of Related Study (classroom and lab). This apprenticeship program offers the apprentice a standard set of six wage increases starting at $13.05 an hour and currently culminating at a completion wage of $26.10 an hour.

3. Residential Wiremen- Trained to handle the installation, maintenance and integration of various electrical systems for the residential market. Program details: 2-year Systematic Program includes 4,000 hours of paid On-The-Job Training and 380 hours of Related Study (classroom and lab). This apprenticeship program offers the apprentice a standard set of four wage increases starting at $14.50 an hour and currently culminating at a completion wage of $22.30 an hour.
