The Classroom Buzz
Goodbye Summer. Hello Fall!
It was a great start to our school year. Thank you for your help and patience. During the month we spent time getting to know each other and getting to know our school and its rules and routines. We also concentrated on recognizing our names and the names of our friends. We started talking about the letters. We will focus on one letter each week. Of course we always are talking about letters throughout each day. You can talk about letters during your day too. For example, when you get to a stop sign you and your child can spell stop. When you are at McDonald's, you can talk about the letter Mm. Ask them what else might start with Mm etc. We also had the chance to go in to the garden and help with the harvest and even ate some of the vegetables for snack.
In October, we will introduce and practice patterns, discuss all the changes that happen in Fall and continue to work on name writing.
