Erie Community College – City Campus

Erie Community College (ECC) is the State University of New York’s (SUNY) fourth largest multi-campus college, located in Western New York State. As recent as 2005, the college was approved by SUNY and the New York State Department of Education to offer an Associate’s Degree in Emergency Management as an additional curriculum component to the college’s Public Service Division.

Emergency Management is currently offered and running with only nine (9) students enrolled in the Fall of 2005 and the Spring of 2006 semesters. Needless to say, my reasons for participating in the upcoming 2006 Emergency Management & Homeland Security/Defense Higher Education Conference June 5 – 9th, is to learn how best ECC can build enrollments and generate funding through various grant sources and partnerships. As Assistant Academic Dean, I am willing and enthusiastic to learn from FEMA and its affiliates.
