PARENTS’ NIGHT OUT
Twice a month Diahann and Carol will offer a Friday evening to the parent’s of our daycare children and their siblings in order to provide the parents with an evening out. The children play, have dinner provided by Aunties Place, change into their pajamas, watch a video and have dessert (usually cookies), brush their teeth and are tucked into their sleeping bags by 8:30 p.m. We play story tapes for about 30 minutes, then quiet music afterwards. Most of the children are asleep by 9:00. Parents are expected to pick up their children between 9:00 and 11:00. The children have a great time being at preschool in different circumstances, and especially love to bring their siblings.
Time:
The time begins at 6:00 and ends at 11:00 p.m. If a child is enrolled on Friday afternoon and would like to stay through the day, parents do not have to come back for their child between 5:30 and 6:00.
What to bring:
Please supply pajamas, sleeping bag, pillow, toothbrush & toothpaste, and optional stuffed animal/doll.
Videos:
We will only play short videos that are literature based, such as Curious George, Madeline and Corduroy. We welcome videos from home, but they must be literature based as well.
Cost:
The fee is $30.00 for the first child and $25.00 for each sibling.
PARENTS’ NIGHT OUT DETAILS:
1. Minimum number of children for the event: 2
2. The deadline for signing up or cancelling: 5:30 p.m. on the Thursday evening immediately before Parents’ Night Out (P.N.O.)
3. Our cancellation policy: If you cancel your child’s (or children’s) attendance after 5:30 on the Thursday evening immediately before P.N.O. you will be billed accordingly.
4. A no-show counts as a cancellation after our deadline, and must be paid for in order to maintain good financial relations with Aunties Place Family Daycare.
5. If you arrive to pick up your child after 11:00 p.m., you will be billed $1.00 per 5 minutes for every 5 minutes past 11:00, with a minimum charge of $5.00 unless otherwise arranged in advance.
We will be planning our week around this event. We will be buying special food, reserving the time and looking forward to the evening. We are hoping that these policies will help us keep P.N.O. a successful part of Aunties Place Family Daycare.
